Richard has lived in Tackley with his wife Tina for over 36 years they have two grown up children and are now very proud Grandparents.
Richard trained in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Queen Mary’s Hospital Roehampton London in the early 80’s and then moved to the Nuffield Orthopedic Centre, in Oxford.
He has held senior management and directorship roles within his industry to finally owing a few Rehab and Mobility businesses within Long Hanborough.
Richard is a keen “petrol head” and enjoys how engineering advancement has changed over the last century in cars and within disability market.
Richard is passionate about the people that taught him his profession within the disability community as he knows he wouldn’t be where he is today without their input or their guidance.
His connections and support for disabilities are helping and supporting Blesma, (British Limbless Association) Royal British Legion, Help the Heroes, and of course sporting events, Paralympics, Invictus games, and the World Disability Games.
His other passion is finding people that need his help that unfortunately the State cannot provide for and then find the funding from certain connections and charities that he works with.
Owning Businesses and being brought up helping people from all walks of life gives you great understanding of how to help and understand life which helps being a Tackley Parish Councillor.
